I began something called the Wiley Protocol this week and want to blog about the experience over the next year. Research is sorely needed to help women maintain their health after child bearing is over... I'll do my part by carefully chronicling this experience. I promise to include the benefits and struggles alike, in the hope I can contribute to other women's quality of life.

This is day 4 on the WP for me and I already notice some dramatic changes.
- By day 3 a significant increase in energy began. My body wants to be on the move and is insisting I exercise. Really, there is just too much energy to sit and follow my usual routine.
- MOST DRAMATIC: When stretching after a workout something in my lower back released, leaving me able to touch the floor with straight legs for the first time in 5 years. It reminded me of the tin man getting oil! There was another such release in my neck the following day. I was on pain meds for a couple of years for this back pain. For the sake of my brain I stopped Rx drugs a year ago and since I've been taking 8-12 Advil per day to manage it. Yesterday, I realized at the end of the day that I had gone the entire day without Advil. That never happens.
- I am sleeping MUCH better. I only woke up once last night, which is a significant improvement!
